I have had VS for maybe...4 years now? Though I think I started noticing it years ago in pitch black. Anyway, my VS always gets worse when I have a headache. This last headache I had though, something strange happened.
I was laying in the dark with my eyes closed next to my boyfriend. It was night, all lights were off, and the only light in the room was coming from his clock, it is green and isn't that bright. It felt like I could see the wall through my snow with my eyes closed, which I thought was strange, so I lifted my arm and slowly moved it across my field of vision. Though it was faint, I could 'see' my arm. At first I just thought, oh, my eyes are not closed all the way, so I closed them tighter with the same results. This was obviously freaky, and I asked my boyfriend if he could see anything like his arm with his eyes closed, and he said no. I asked if he noticed the light from the clock with his eyes closed and he said no. I got him to move his arm in front of my vision and I could 'see' his arm with my eyes closed. It was a defined silhouette in a sea of snow, faint but definitely there, and with a sense of depth.
My snow was very obvious when this happened, much more than usual, and I feel it was defining slight variations in light that I normally don't notice? In the same situation without the headache and intensified snow the day after I could not 'see' like I did before. It was not like in day time when you close you eyes, you can tell differences in lightning and if something passes over your vision. It was definitely more defined to the point of freakiness, and almost like seeing in the dark...but with my eyes closed.
Anyone else experience anything like this before? Or anyone else get intensified snow during a headache, and if so how does it affect your vision? Can someone else try this if they get crazy snow during headaches? Might as well see what happens.
