Driving at night used to be a pain because the headlights of oncoming cars. Now the starbursts don't streak out nearly as much as they used to. The headlights almost look normal. But during the day, the starburst effect from the reflections off of cars has gotten worse, way more intense. I don't get it. How long did you have them CanUSeeWhatISee ? Did they come on suddenly? Do brake lights and traffic lights also look strange? Have you tried any meds?

They look similar to the pic that SciMkII posted. I noticed that I was super sensitive to light and then, bam, I started seeing starbursts. Traffic lights do look strange at a distance, like a combo of blurriness and streaks. But within ten feet or so, headlights and traffic lights look normal to me. Sunglasses help with the intensity of the starbursts during the day. I pretty much don't go in the sun without them.

So you are saying that the night time symptoms have gotten better but the daytime symptoms are worse?

I think it might have to do more with the intensity of light. Regular headlights almost look normal to me now, no matter what time of day it is. But those newer, super intense white/blue lights still cause starbursts for me every time. A good majority of light sources do not cause me to see starbusrts now, which is an improvement from about a month to 6 weeks ago. The streaks from the reflections off of cars and shiny surfaces are still pretty bad though. lol see? Confusing .

Nope, no starburts from break lights. But I do get bad afterimages from those led brake lights. They last for about five minutes..
When is your lumbar puncture?

The appointment is Wedesday afternoon. I am very nervous. Any procedure that requires a constent form is cause for alarm. I spoke with the office and they assured me it would be straightforward and safe. They use an X-ray to guide the needle. Of course everyone seems to respond differently to this procedure.
