Anyone have any luck with theanine (an incredient in Green Tea)? I had a "hit" of Green Tea (6 bags in one cup) and I actually felt better. I don't know if the snow was objectively better, but I didn't notice it as much...maybe because the theanine relaxed me so much. Theanine supposedly reduces glutamate activity which is something that Lamictal/Lamotrigine also does. Theanine also supposedly crossed the blood-brain barrier and amps up GABA activity. That could all be nutriceutical marketing, of course. In any case I felt better for most of the day - no headache, more energy, more alertness, etc. Then...I crashed...felt dizzy and a bit nauseated...but it felt good for a bit. Again, it could all be placebo or the theanine relaxing me but it was an intersting experience. I wasn't going for a therapy, but was just trying to wake up a bit with the Green Tea my stomach can't tolerate coffee and sodas go straight to my ever expanding gut. Anyway, as I babble on...I was wondering if anyone else had such an experience...thanks.
