Yesterday I got a response to the Sofia Greene survey from a 35 year old female who had a hypersensitivity to light in a circumscribed area at the extreme
right-sided periphery of her visual field (akin to the final stage of her usual visual aura during her recurring attacks of migraine with aura) for 8 days,
i.e. on the earliest date where one can make a diagnosis of persistent aura without infarction (which requires a duration of > 7 days). It is a good
development that the information available on the internet now allows people to find out about PMA at a much earlier point than has been the case earlier.
Inclusion of such "early" observations will also help to get a less biased representative picture of the spectrum of PMA.
