I've been twitching occasionally (more than twice a day) for a couple of years. It causes me to drop things, throw things, jam my lower inscisors into the back up my upper inscisors etc...

I've been ignoring it / blaming it on an earlier mild B12 deficiency. It has been more noticeable in the last 4 months or so, but I've still been ignoring it. I've not been drinking any caffene for a few years as it seemed to make the twitches worse. (Again, I was ignoring the twitching and was quick to blame Tea)

The first sign that the twitches were a real problem was when my left leg first went numb on December 18 - I was extremely twitchy in the emerg ward - like frighteningly. My mother-in-law was with me, and she is a retired Registered Nurse - she didn't seem concerned. The twitching was constant and lasted for 3 hours - it affected both arms and legs, contractions that would turn my toes in and raise my feet off the ground. Also my biceps would contract, my arms would tuck into my chest and my hands would turn down and away from me. I get similar big jerky twitches now, but not to this extent, and only when I am under extreme stress or anxiety.

The twitching has been more and more common. I'm probably twitching or jerking once every 5 or 10 minutes when at rest. When anxious or stressed it can be every few seconds. These leave me very sore.

I also get weird vibrations, some under the skin, though not too many of those. If I hold my arm a certain way my hand will shake.

I have concerns about Parkinson's or other Neurological disorders, but my doctor has calmed my fears for now. Still, there's always that chance...


The stress was related to having migraines again. I thought I was done with them. I thought I had pretty much beaten them and would only have them occasionally. Then I had three migraines in 7 days. The third migraine was weird, with a second aura starting as soon as the first one cleared out of my vision (and went into my face).

Shortly after the first spiral aura transitioned to the left perhiphery of my vision, the left side of my face went numb/tingly.

It continued to exhibit some numbness 6 days later, though the doctor could find no evidence of numbness in my leg, only weakness.

I think I've figured out the sparkles. I'll post in my experimentation thread,
