Thanks, I've had a B12 deficiency in the past and one of the tests I had in Jan was a B12. I do take a suppliment, though not religiously - I don't absorb B12 very well, probably because of my Acid Reflux meds so it's a big dose, but I've been able to keep my levels pretty good with diet and suppliments, and haven't needed the needle.

A bar of soap?! Weird. The cramps are present during the day too, basically anytime I'm at rest. They started at night though. I'm thinking RLS but am worried about other nasties that are best left unmentioned.

Next visit to my GP I'm going to ask to see a general neurologist for a full examination - I'd like to rule a few things out if possible.

It started with the visual snow on Dec 13th and though it quieted down, I don't think it actually had ever left. If it had, it came back every day and lately has been constant.
It is louder in my left ear, but is also present in my right ear.

No. The weakness came on it's own, suddenly, around 24 hours after migraine #4 in the December cluster. The VS came immediately after migraine #3. I am actively working with my GP to define the cause of this weakness as it is persisting and actually seems to be progressing. (getting worse)

(3) In your post from January 16 you wrote: "I have a rumbling headache for a month now"- when did the daily headache start, in mid December? Or earlier?
The headache started with the migraines in December. I'm not sure which migraine. I haven't slept well in a a long time so it could just be sleep related. (Or depression - or anxiety...)

(4) You wrote you had a circular or spiral pattern usually in your migraine auras. Can you make an illustration?

(6) You mentioned you had hemiparesis 2 times on right side - were these attacks (how long did they last?) when was that?
I've had time to think about these spells, and had similar spells, though not as powerful. I think my amateur self-diagnosis is wrong - it may be something with the reflexes. When I've has similar spells lately, I've had strength in my right leg until it was almost straight, then a complete loss of strength, like some kind of odd reflex action. Thus, when trying to stand, favouring my left side - using the right side, I'd start to stand, then end up on the floor as my leg would give out. Cool eh? Now if only I can find a neuro who will listen to me... My doc says I do show signs of clonus, so perhaps this is related to this?

(7) You wrote that the double vision (seeing 4 eyes) had been persistent for 4 weeks (i.e. starting ca January 17, 2007) - are they still occurring daily? If not, from which day on did they disappear (or only re-occur with longer free intervals than 1 day)?

The double vision typically only happens if I've been using a computer, reading or been concentrating hard for any period of time. So yes, I've been having it daily. Yesterday and the day before, I did not, but then I did not use the computer, do any reading or any analytical thinking. (Did not work or surf.. much)

( 8 ) "In December 2007 I suffered a cluster of 4 classic migraines in 11 days. These were all odd migraines" Can you describe these more detailed?
#1 - Aura was more blurry - covered top half of vision instead of usual spiral, pain wan't very bad, 1st time ever with veritgo.
#2 - Regular Spiral Aura - No Nausia, Little-No Pain - Manic Feeling afterwards - never had Manic feeling before with Migraine
#3 - Regular Spiral Aura, Numb Tingle in face, 2nd Spiral Aura Immediately After 1st moved into face, mild pain - Visual Snow Started after 1 Hour nap
#4 - Sideways Aura - Mild Pain

(10) Can you say something about the chronology of the muscle twictches, since when did you have these as persistent (daily) symptoms? Did you have it as short-lasting attack (less than 1 week duration) before? From which year on?
I've had twitches for a while - I can't say how long. Maybe 3 years, maybe 5. They've been common enough for me to be annoyed with them, but not so common that I was worried. I would drop things sometimes. It has been worse in the last year. I don't drink caffine as it makes the twitching worse. I never thought anything of the twitches, thought maybe they were a carryover from a previous minor B12 deficiency.
