Regular Visitor Posts: 216 12/11/07 3:14 PM	Remove this ad Question...if this is a forum to JUST think about persistent migraine aura....why isn't it called that? It took me quite a while to figure out that this site is dedicated to that cause, and to support ksomething's research. Even by ksomething's assessment of my condition, he rates me only as probable persistent aura without infarction. If it's not definite, what about the other possible causes? Posts: 1496 12/11/07 10:44 PM Administrator	A decent proportion of the people who come here likely have HPPD, so its not only persistent migraine aura. Plus the forum pre-dates the research. We've had a ton of discussions about other health issues. Just about everyone also has fatigue, for instance, and that's been discussed a fair amount in the past. I don't think the forum is so busy as to warrant a subsection- just start the topic you're interested in. Need to cheer yourself up? Watch the Kitty Cat Dance!

My floaters and specks have turned to cobwebs, strings, dark spots, layered on top of each other....is it a change in my eye, or a change in my perception? You have illustrated the strings in the last couple of pictures. Can you also illustrate the cobwebs and the dark sponts. When did the (persistent? are they persistent) cobwebs, strings, dark spots first appear?

Regular Visitor Posts: 216 12/12/07 9:48 AM	A large portion of the persistent cobwebs, spots, strings appeared over a months time last summer. The rest showed themselves in October. Regular Visitor Posts: 216 12/12/07 11:44 AM	Just more of the same...spots, squiggles, strings. As I think back, I noticed the first floaters shortly after the photophobia and headache began. I'm guessing around February. There were about 5 new ones I'd never seen before. From high school until February, I'd always had just one small string floater. Now I think it's more like 50. They developed so suddenly and in such numbers, at the same time the migraine aura like symptoms struck me, that my intuition tells me they must be related.

It is right, if you tell your doctor you are seeing floaters there will be no response BUT there should be a response to the fact that I never saw floaters before and now i see floaters amongst all the other stuff I am seeing too.

Registered User Posts: 5010 12/12/07 12:40 PM	Can you also make one image showing the appearance in summer 2007 (when the significant worsening of the floaters came) and of November 2007 (when a further significant worsening came). It's like my 3 yr old trying to do a jigsaw puzzle...if she can't find the right place to fit a piece, she'll just cram it in where it almost fits and calls in 'good.' ksomething....I edited my last post to provide a full chronology of my floaters.

I also believe my floaters are progressing worse and worse also, although I would say not at the rate your floaters are getting worse. I will keep you in my prayers. The connection between floaters and VS is a huge mystery. There has to be some connection at least for me. I never saw or noticed a single floater before my visual snow started. I have a feeling that a change in your perception of floaters that have always been there may indeed be happening.
