It looked pretty much as I illustrated. The text I was reading was single spaced, but it didn't come out right when I tried to illustrate it...I couldn't get it to show that there was was white in between. Also, it only occurred around the text. It didn't adhere to paragraph boundries...a line or two of the neighboring paragraph would be highlighted as well, if I was reading close to it.

Cool effect...I think I'm seeing a yellow glow around each letter. Put all the letters together and you've got what looks like highlighter.

Yup...and now I'm re-editing. Wait for it..... I got it all in one post.

It's gone....frown. I'm not sure how long it lasted, because I didn't keep reading...but at least the half hour that I was.

True enough! I'm a big hit at cocktail parties, myself. I like to corner unsuspecting people and give lengthy gripes about my ailments. I'm fair, though...I only do that to the people who ask "How are you?"

As for the 'atypical,' I've heard it just too often from doctors. I don't squarely fit into any diagnosis. My other favorite which I get often is 'idiopathic.' That's a fancy way of saying "We don't know why it happens, but we at least gave it a name."

Thanks for the origin of that word. I love it! That will cheer me up next time I get this non-diagnosis. I may just stick idiopathic in front of all my diagnosises...diagnosisis...diagwhatever.

My floaters and specks have turned to cobwebs, strings, dark spots, layered on top of each other. The world covered with snow sure isn't helping me ignore it. What I don't get...is it a change in my eye, or a change in my perception? A key point is...I never had these before last summer, and now there's too many to count...like I'm looking through a dirty fish bowl.

Below is another poor illustration...this is one of the little devils swimming about. I can also see the individual cells, much as shown. It's literally a long string of circles twisting about. What gives me the heebies the most is that when I move my eyes, they actually look like they're swimming...unravel themselves and reravel in a new formation. Yuck.
