I'm positive it is connected for me. I didn't even know my neck was misaligned, but had noticed that it was weak and I often got stiff necks. I've been going to a n.u.c.c.a. chiropractor this past year, and when he adjusts my neck it improves my vision (and my cognitive ability and my insomnia) a lot. (It wants to slide back to its old misaligned position because that's what it is used to and my muscles are extremely mismatched -very strong on one side and small and weak on the other- but I am gradually able to keep my neck in the proper position for longer periods of time. I am guessing this is a problem for many VS people as I have noticed a lot of observations of sore necks. I can tell by my deteriorating vision and sleep quality (and a feeling of agitation) when it is time to go back in for an adjustment. (I would not go a non-nucca chiropractor, which would be much less gentle. I'd worry about causing more damage). Apparently misaligned necks can pinch the spinal cord and cause migraines.

Liat, yes absolutely the VS is better after the neck treatment. I agree that you must be very careful in choosing a chiropractor as it could cause damage. (Mine specializes in necks and took a multitude of x-rays from different angles, so he would know exactly what was going on and not just be working by feel). I have noticed in many, many posts that neck problems/pain are mentioned along with other symptoms (I have been looking for it, of course.) Perhaps we don't hear about any resolution/improvement of VS from repaired cervical alignment because very few people have it treated or investigated. (Or maybe it is just one of many causes of VS). I certainly would have had no idea that it was connected if my dentist had not noticed my severely crooked bite-he corrects bites to treat migraines. A TMJ person he works with looked at my jaw and noted that it was a much smaller issue than my neck and sent me to the neck chiropractor. (I don't have TMJ symptoms, by the way). The one thing that most of us VS people seem to have in common is extreme stress at the time of onset-maybe in some of us this causes tension in the neck and pulls it out of alignment. One person who recovered from this spent time having her neck worked on (was it Jules Jubie?)
